Kansas City-St. Louis Deal Confirmed: It's all done except the paperwork. The Kansas City Kings and the St. Louis Browns have agreed to a trade that will send 22-year old minor league RHP Jonathan Hewitt, 19-year old minor league LF Pablo Torres, a 1st round draft pick, and a 3rd round draft pick to St. Louis, while 27-year old RHP Gregory McClellan will be shipped to Kansas City. A top front office executive with the Kings described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said.

St. Louis will retain a portion of McClellan's remaining contract.

This year McClellan has collected 16 saves. In all he has made 21 relief appearances, thrown 48.2 innings, struck out 71 and walked 16. His record shows 1 win and 5 losses with a 3.51 earned run average.
