Message:
Jackson Slams 5 Hits for Burlington: It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Jason Jackson, it came around today.

The 22-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Ballpark of River City to pace the Burlington Royals to a 12-7 victory over the River City Rumblers.

River City skipper Sean Martel told reporters in the press room that "Jackson deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Jackson hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Jason Jackson singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, singled in the 11th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Ean Crisanti in the 12th.
