Injury Sidelines Manuel Melgoza For Year: Manuel Melgoza will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Cabano closer could miss the remainder of the year. Melgoza was injured while throwing a pitch in the Black Aces-Racers clash at Black Aces Ballpark recently. Doctors said he has a torn labrum and would be out a minimum of 8-9 months.

So far this year, Melgoza has chalked up 8 saves. In 17 relief appearances, he has 22 strikeouts in 19.1 innings with a 0.93 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 0-0.
