Hits Galore: Campeau Drills 5 Hits: Kingsport Mets right fielder Alexandre Campeau banged out 5 hits today, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Burlington Royals, 10-6. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points.
"If the hits keep coming," an upbeat Campeau said after the game, "the runs will too. And, more importantly, so will the wins."
Alexandre Campeau singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Josh Bove in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Campeau is hitting .249 with 13 home runs.
