Hit #2000 for Lake Monsters McCoy: Graham McCoy started out as a baby-faced rookie many seasons ago. Yesterday at The Chicken Coop the Vermont veteran joined the league's 2000-hit club. McCoy achieved that milestone with a 3-for-3 day in the Lake Monsters 5-4 win over the Amarillo Chicken Haulers.
He spoke to reporters in the clubhouse after the game and said, "Looking at the list of all the great players who have done this is humbling. It is a great honor to be among them."
All-time McCoy has played in 1631 games, batted .331 with 418 home runs and 2000 base hits.
