Greer Tags 3 HR Against Militia: Ed Greer went yard three times in a Vermont Lake Monsters victory over the Michigan Militia at Welsh Field today.

"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."

For the day, the Vermont third baseman went 3-for-4 against Michigan with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Lake Monsters to the 6-3 win.

"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."

Ed Greer hit a solo-shot off Milton Chandler in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Milton Chandler in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Milton Chandler in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.

This season Greer is batting .231 with 122 hits and 37 home runs. He has scored 73 times and has 85 RBI.
