Gordon Twirls Juicers to Shutout Win: It wasn't easy but Ron Gordon made it look that way.
Gordon silenced the Houston Horror, 8-0, in a Newtown Juicers triumph at South End Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Gordon said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 5 hits.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
In 16 starts this season Gordon has notched a 5-6 record and a 4.57 ERA.
