Gonzáles on Fire: 6-for-7 for Vermont: It was a sensational day at the plate for Marcos Gonzáles as he led the charge to a 18-6 win over the Spinners. The Vermont center fielder was pure misery for the Lowell pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 6 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"Gonzáles put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Steve Schrenk, manager for the Spinners, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Marcos Gonzáles singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a three-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Thus far this season Gonzáles has hit .359 with no home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 4 times.
