Frisco Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game: After their 7-1 win today at Dr Pepper Ballpark over the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Frisco RoughRiders will advance to the Championship. Frisco won the series by a 3-2 margin.
Leading the way for the RoughRiders was right fielder Will Howard, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.
"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."
The Frisco RoughRiders will play against the Arkansas Travelers in the next round. Arkansas won their series against the Springfield Cardinals 3 games to 0. The Championship schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
