Express Not Competitive in 7-0 Loss to Salt Lake: In an outstanding mound performance, Salt Lake Bees starter Jimmy Kent fired a complete-game shutout against the Round Rock Express at Dell Diamond today.

Kent was the key to the Bees's 7-0 win. The 25-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 2 hits and 1 walk he allowed.

"2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."

Over the season Kent has thrown 38.1 innings and dished out 29 strikeouts with a 3-0 mark and a 3.99 ERA.
