Eveson on Fire: 5-for-6 for Chesterton: Chesterton left fielder Clint Eveson had a big day at San Jose Municipal Stadium today against the Terra Nova Tigers. The 15-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led the Trojans to a 11-3 triumph over Terra Nova.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Eveson said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
Clint Eveson struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
