Durham Grabs APP Reliever of the Year Award: At the age of 23, Alex Durham says he still has a lot to learn about life in Rookie Advanced - U24.

But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Hampton Orioles reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2034 Appalachian League Reliever of the Year Award.

"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the West End-Cobb Town, Alabama native said.

For the season, Durham had 14 saves in 27 relief appearances, which totaled 36.1. He fanned 44 betters, while walking 14 and put up a record of 3-2 to go with his 0.74 ERA.

He received 36 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Felipe Guzman of the Kingsport Mets finished second in voting, while Steven Cohee of the Bristol Pirates finished third.
