Day-to-Day Injury Shelves Boyd: It's a long season and everyone picks up some cuts and bruises along the way. The latest star to be suffering this year is Tim Boyd of the Chicago White Sox, who suffered a sore elbow while making a defensive play in yesterday's contest against Montreal. While he could play through the injury, it's unclear whether or not the Chicago organization will risk that or simply sit him out for the 1-2 weeks the injury is expected to last.

Looking at his season stats, Boyd has compiled a .297 batting average and a .329 on-base percentage, while hitting 20 home runs and driving in 53 runs.
