Daniels Bashes 5 Base Hits: Carter Daniels put on a hitting clinic today as the Asheville Tourists dumped the Charleston RiverDogs 13-7 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

The Asheville third baseman made Charleston defenders earn their pay, lashing Charleston pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Daniels said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Carter Daniels singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.

Currently Daniels is batting .331 with 3 home runs and 26 RBIs.
