Cuvet Socks It to Indians, Cracks 5 Hits: 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Surprise (KC)'s Daniel Cuvet made it happen today against the Indians. Everything came together at the plate for the 18-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Royals to a 13-1 win at Surprise Stadium.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Cuvet said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Daniel Cuvet hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Cuvet is presently hitting at a .224 pace with 2 home runs, 21 RBIs and has scored 14 times.
