Cubs Come up Short of Playoffs: Chicago (C) Cubs manager Brandon Bettencourt said his club is "frustrated" to no longer have a chance at the postseason. The club was mathematically eliminated from a possible playoff berth earlier today.

This is the 1st time in a row that the Cubs have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2021.
