Coronado Wins Award for NYP Dominance: He may only be 21, but Ramiro Coronado of the Hudson Valley Renegades has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the New York-Penn League.

The reliever was today named the NYP Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2023.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 5 saves in 26 relief appearances and 37 strikeouts in 29.1 innings. He had a record of 2-1 to go with his 0.31 ERA.

He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 14. Kyle Martin of the Williamsport Crosscutters finished second in voting, while Darwin Collier of the Aberdeen Ironbirds finished third with 2 first place votes.
