The UTRGV Vaqueros star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the UC Riverside Highlanders to advance to the College Divisional Round 2.
The Vaqueros won the final game at UTRGV Baseball Stadium by a score of 3-1 and the series 2-1.
"I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Baan. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs."
For the series, Baan hit .545 with a .545 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The UTRGV Vaqueros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Sam Houston State Bearkats - Oklahoma State Cowboys series. That series is tied at 1 game each.
