CAL's Top Player for 2023 Named: Mark Harris of the High Desert Mavericks had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Hitter of the Year Award for 2023.
The 27-year-old center fielder put up a .347 average and a .417 on-base percentage, piling up 172 hits, 33 doubles, 5 triples, 12 home runs, 90 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Hunter Howland of the Inland Empire 66ers finished second in voting, while Misael Urbina of the High Desert Mavericks finished third.
