Best KORTA Reliever Named: At the age of 24, Manny Castillo says he still has a lot to learn about life in KOR Tertiary Affiliation.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Las Marias Iguanas reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2069 KOR Tertiary Affiliation Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Niquero, Cuba native said.
For the season, Castillo had 32 saves in 43 relief appearances, which totaled 48.1. He fanned 62 betters, while walking 26 and put up a record of 3-2 to go with his 1.12 ERA.
He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 8. Sun Kim of the Ichihara Bay Sharks finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Jesús Vicaria of the Las Marias Iguanas finished third.
