Astros Pitching Ravaged by Arraez: After a 6-hit effort to lead Atlanta's 5-4 victory over the Houston Astros, second baseman Luis Arraez told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Whalehead League Baseball-level is really something special."

The 25-year-old player earned his accolades today at Minute Maid Park with a spectacular 6-for-6 game against the Astros.

"His swing is getting there," said Braves skipper Ed Greene, who spoke glowingly of Arraez after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Luis did that to perfection today."

Luis Arraez singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.

For the season Arraez has produced 210 hits in 598 at-bats for a .351 average with 3 home runs and gotten on base at a .434 clip.
