Another Setback for Houston's Danny Vecino: "It's worse than we thought." That was the news from the Astros clubhouse today as it was learned that center fielder Danny Vecino will be out for an added 3 weeks as a result of a recent injury. His treatment for a strained medial collateral ligament will have to be extended. Initially it didn't seem the injury was a major concern, but the Houston center fielder told team trainers of some discomfort yesterday morning, and upon examination it was determined to be a more serious injury. "We'd rather take this thing slowly and make sure Danny gets back onto the field healthy," said the team's head trainer.

Vecino has a lifetime .225 batting average and .290 on-base percentage in his 145-game career with 106 hits and 9 home runs.
