Andreas Boerboom Injured, Out for Season: The doctors have spoken and Andreas Boerboom of the Niagara Falls Expos didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old left fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Boerboom sustained his season-ending injury during the Alameda Airmen game yesterday at Alameda Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing the ball. Today the Niagara Falls medical staff reported Boerboom had radial nerve compression and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.

Presently Boerboom is hitting .295 with 4 home runs and 22 RBIs. He has played in 23 games and scored 12 times.
