High Desert Mavericks third baseman Bimo Ananas failed to get a hit today against the San Jose Giants and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 30-year-old went 0-for-3 in his club's 5-3 victory over the Giants at BB&T Coastal Field.
"I think I only made it to 21 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak."
Ananas is presently hitting at a .267 pace with 12 home runs, 59 RBIs and has scored 51 times.
