Message:
Alejandro Corona Wallops 3 Homers for Whalers: New England Whalers right fielder Alejandro Corona sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.

Prior to the start of today's contest with the Louisville Bats, Corona told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.

"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."

The big day from Corona pushed the Whalers past the Bats, 8-1. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs.

"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Corona told reporters after the game.

Alejandro Corona hit a solo-shot off Christian Chapuis in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Christian Chapuis in the 2nd and hit a solo-shot off Ed Campbell in the 4th.

This season Corona has hit at a .407 clip and produced 9 RBI, 5 home runs and 8 runs.
