Adams Tosses Shutout Against Albuquerque: Sandy Adams of the Knoxville Johnnys spun his magic on the Albuquerque Isotopes today. He blanked them 11-0 on 4 hits, registering 6 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Knoxville skipper Ron Shaw said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
"Sandy pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
