AZL Star of the Week Chosen: A hot-hitting week got Jason Sanders the Arizona Rookie League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers.
The Mesa right fielder slammed them for a .542 average, 13 hits in 24 at-bats, 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 8 runs.
In the postgame press conference, Sanders shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that."
Thus far this season Sanders has hit .390 with 20 home runs, 68 RBIs and scored 55 times.
