The Cathedral right fielder had a field day in the 13-12 triumph over the Saint John Greyhounds, finishing 5-for-5.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Vega must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Javier Vega hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
