5-Hit Barrage by Brito: Armando Brito was sizzling at the plate today. In a game played at Riverside Sports Complex, the UC Riverside center fielder blistered the Gonzaga Bulldogs for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 6-2 victory.
"Brito was too tough to get out today," Bulldogs skipper Norberto Carrasco said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Armando Brito singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
Thus far this year Brito is hitting .286 with 12 home runs, 38 RBIs and 65 runs scored.
