5-Hit Barrage by Anderson: The Olympic River Swimmers stopped the East St. Louis Eagles by a score of 8-3 at Ballpark of Stockton today, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Pete Anderson. The 24-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Anderson said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Anderson did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Eagles.

"Not much that I can say," offered East St. Louis manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Pete Anderson hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

So far in 2064 Anderson is batting .379 with 4 home runs, 20 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 36 hits in 95 at-bats and a .449 OBP.
