2065 AP Diamond Heater Award Announced: The Richmond Ravens have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's Stephen Dundee, this year's Appalachian Diamond Heater Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Dundee compiled a 23-8 record in 33 starts, tallied 631 strikeouts in 279.2 innings and recorded a 1.67 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .129 batting average against him. He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 28. Ron Collins of the Newark Falcons finished second in voting, while Jesse Parker of the Keg Creek Coyotes finished third.
