Hit Streak Now at 20 for Volweiler: Avishai Volweiler continued his streak at New York Yankees Complex today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The New York A (DSL) second baseman was 1-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Yankees 1 were not as fortunate, losing 5-4 to the Toronto (DSL) Blue Jays.

"Volweiler was hitting everything we threw at him," said Toronto (DSL) manager Audo Vicente. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win."
Avishai Volweiler flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.

So far this season Volweiler is batting .348 with 1 home run, 24 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 69 hits in 198 at-bats, 16 walks and a .403 OBP. Volweiler has played in 50 games.
