Duffy Spins Shutout Against Tumbleweeds: Today was Ron Duffy's turn in the rotation for the Richmond Confederates and he made the most of it, shutting out the Wichita Tumbleweeds on 7 hits.

The 35-year-old right-hander led the Confederates to an easy 6-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 6 strikeouts.

"I hope we miss him next time," Wichita manager Simon Cable said. "Duffy certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."

Currently Duffy has a record of 13-11 with 109 strikeouts and 31 walks in 212.2 innings and a 3.85 ERA.
