The 18-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Johnston sustained his season-ending injury during the Evans HS Knights game yesterday at Engines Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Madawaska Valley HS medical staff reported Johnston had a partially torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.%0A%0ARunning the numbers on Johnston for the year%2C he has made 12 relief appearances%2C recorded no saves and compiled a 3-0 won-lost mark with a 4.43 ERA.
