Scott and Ray Dealt: Minnesota and Oakland have agreed in principle to a trade. The Twins will send 29-year-old 2B Chad Scott and $7,000,000 in cash to the Athletics for 25-year-old 1B Lewis Allen and 26-year-old RF Corey Ray. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete.

During his career Scott is batting .263 and has totaled 49 home runs.

Ray has played in 242 games with a .254 lifetime batting average. Among his 256 hits are 49 doubles, 6 triples and 19 home runs. He also has scored 132 runs and driven in 90 runs.
