Cyclones Jamal Green Down and Out for Year: The doctors have spoken and Jamal Green of the Iowa State Cyclones didn%27t like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Green sustained his season-ending injury during the Southern California Trojans game yesterday at Corpus Christi College Fields. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Iowa State medical staff reported Green had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.%0A%0ASo far this year Green has compiled a 5-1 record with a 4.61 ERA.%0A
